10 Tuesday, September 9 Moyie Lake, BC I find I have collected an amazing assortment of junk in my back pocket. I will have to find a place for it soon, as it is becoming quite uncomfortable to sit down. Anyway, there is a saying, "what goes up must come down." That saying has been on my mind for most of the day as it has been uphill almost all day today. Not the first bit down from Kootenay, of course, but the last 70 clicks. Nothing serious, but enough to force me into a lower gear and make pedaling an effort. To amuse myself, I have made up a "game," where I look at the back of the highway signs on the uphills (for the opposing direction) and try to guess what sign they are. I'm getting fairly good at it -- the last hilkl was almost 100%. Except form one sign. I couldn't for the life of me figure it out, and as soon as I passed it and looked back, I realized why. I have just crossed my 1st time zone. Sure enough, around the next corner was a sign for my direction telling me to put my clocks forward 1 hour.
