"Kootenay Pass Summit Elevation 1774m". That's the sign
I'm looking at right now. It's the highest point on my
journey. You have no idea hgow good this feels -- you
have to be here to appreciate it. Anyway, StagLeap is
a bit of a no-show. There's no campsite here, even
though my map says there is. O well. I'm going to stay
the night here anyway. It's after dark already, and
pretty cold. I don't want to take that downhill 'till
tomorrow when it's a bit warmer. Bought some cheese,
Salami & Kaiser rolls in Salmo this morning. That was
dinner -- very welcome after a 40km climb. Not too bad
either; I have some left over for breakfast tomorrow.
Then 35mi all downhill into Creston! Don't know what
else to say -- just too tired to write anything more now.
