32   Wednesday, October 01   Dryden, ON

Well, it's October already... and helelujah! I made it 
to Dryden! To be honest, I didn't expect it at this time 
yesterday,but I made it. Actually, the roads are better, 
so that accounts for it a lot. I reached Vermillion Bay 
this afternoon for a late lunch, and the word there was 
that the worst stretch on the Trans-Canada was between 
Kenora and Vermillion bay, and from here to Thunder Bay, 
it's a lot better. So, I'm already over the worst of it. 
And the shoulders are paved again. So this is good news. 
Maybe I won't have to take the bus after all. Also, 
there isn't supposed to be any more construction until 
I'm almost in Thunder Bay... YES!!! So, the sun is 
shining once more, and the roads are... adequate, if 
perhaps not brilliant. So we shall se what kind of time 
I make now.
