Today, to put it mildly, has not been a good day. I could have
made better mileage walking. In fact, as it turned out, I did
end up walking most of the way. Blew out my 2nd and last spare
tyre 2km from the top of the Hope Slide. 10kms from there to the
next Gas Station. Call it 3hrs. That's where I am now, in the
restaurant. Pissing down with rain outside. I was treated to an
awesome lightning display for the last 2kms. I'm in a mountain
valley & the storm is right overhead. Lightning bouncing off the
hills around me. About 1 bold every 5 secs or less. Scary as
hell. O well. Will wait until the rain subsides, then see what I
can do about patching up my tyre and filling it back up with
air. *sigh* so much for making Princeton by today :(
